So I hadn’t seen my best friend in months at this point – our schedules didn’t allow it and we were never able to catch up via phone call because I was either sleeping, sick or busy moving. Excuses were finally done with and we decided to get together today, catch up and do some Christmas shopping!
The day started out at this super cute cafe called Tout Suite which apparently used to be an auto body shop in downtown Houston which I found to be really cool. I didn’t snap a photo of my food because well, it was devoured in what seemed like minutes and I’m very picky when it comes to breakfast related food, but this was delicious and so flavorful!
The Galleria was next on the list, which if you’re not from Houston or surrounding areas, you probably have no idea what it is. But it’s pretty much a generic mall, on steroids. There’s everything from your highest end, to little random stores that’ll go away after the holiday season. But the main reason I love going around Christmas is the big Christmas tree they place right in the middle of the ice skating rink – it’s beautiful!
So there’s always new little kiosk set up around this mall and there just so happened to be one called “Dragon’s Breath.” I had no idea what it was or what it was supposed to do, but Chelsea seemed to have heard about it and obviously if you’re going to end up breathing like a dragon, hell yeah, count me in! (I can’t upload the video because I have a free account, but if you google “dragon’s breath”, or check my IG story, you’ll see what I mean). It’s caused by liquid nitrogen and leaves your mouth dry as ever, but it’s a fun little stop and was worth the money!
Lastly, we ended up at this place called Ninja Ramen. And let me break a couple of hearts by saying that I have not once eaten ramen in my life, aside from tonight, and I ended up loving it! The menu is so simple and the food is delicious. It was a great way to end a chilly night!

Recently discovered a super festive (right now, at least) blog that Hollie runs and while I was reading her Blogmas posts, I ran across this one and thought what better way to let you all in on a few questions about myself and Christmas!!!! A tag about me and about Christmas, well it doesn’t get much better than that! Continue reading “Christmas Tag!!!”
Let me first start off by saying Blogmas is not going as well as I thought it would! And it’s not because I’m not doing anything, but it’s simply because too much is happening that I haven’t found myself having the time to sit down and blog about my day, nonetheless upload photos (of which I haven’t taken!!!!!!)
I’ve yet to decorate the inside of our house fully yet, for the same reason as above – by the time I get home, I’m just ready to get into my pajamas and crash. But something did happen last night that carried on into the early morning of today leaving me wide awake and not wanting to sleep at all!

With all of the events this year has brought upon my family and myself, I’m not feeling the Christmas spirit as much as I usually do. There aren’t lights on the outside of my house, the inside of it doesn’t have a tree. Then again, we’ve majorly downgraded with the rent house we’re in and there isn’t room for a tree anyways, it’s just not sitting well with me. I feel like a huge part of the Christmas spirit is all the lights and beauty that is Christmas decor!!
But I plan on turning things around and breaking out my 4 ft. tree tomorrow, putting it in the living room somewhere to give my mom and I some beautiful sparkling lights! I told myself I wouldn’t let my blog be about the negativity that has happened to me and I plan on keeping it that way. Maybe one day I’ll be able to put into words what has happened without it being very depressing, but I’m no where near ready for that.
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s blog post and what I get accomplished!! 🙂

Today was filled with nothing but family and good times! My mom had bought tickets for an actual train ride to the North Pole on The Polar Express and my nieces loved it! It was a bit of a road trip for us, but we made the best out of it and all the scenery on the way there. Continue reading “The Polar Express”
The holiday season is my favorite for many reasons, but the Christmas movies have to be WAY up there on the list! Here’s a list of some of my favorites! I don’t get to watch all of these every December, but I do slip a few in here and there throughout the year 😉
Elf – After inadvertently wreaking havoc on the elf community due to his ungainly size, a man raised as an elf at the North Pole is sent to the U.S. in search of his true identity.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas – On the outskirts of Whoville, there lives a green, revenge-seeking Grinch who plans on ruining the Christmas holiday for all of the citizens of the town.
Prancer – A farm girl nurses a wounded reindeer she believes is one of Santa’s, hoping to bring it back to health in time for Christmas. Her holiday spirit inspires those around her, something her disheartened father is having trouble understanding. Continue reading “Favorite Christmas Movies!”
So when it comes to my birthday or Christmas or any other time when I’m asked what I would like as a gift, I freeze. Simply because since I started bringing in my own income, I would buy whatever I needed…..and whatever I thought I needed, leaving me completely clueless as to what to “ask for” or “want” for Christmas.
Now when it boils down to it, I couldn’t care less about receiving gifts to be honest. I’ve always been the person who wants to give and give and give. Even just small things, I’m always spoiling family members, especially my three little nieces.
Here’s a list of a few things I’ve accumulated of what I would like and again, I say that very lightly, and easy and thoughtful gift ideas that you can run with!! Continue reading “Christmas Wishlist 2017 (+ a helpful gift guide)!!!”
